New lineup of vacuum grippers capable of both high versatility and two-piece removal measures!
The "Vacuum Gripper FM/FQE for PCB Manufacturing Process" is a new vacuum gripper developed specifically for the PCB manufacturing process. PCBs handled in the final inspection process after cutting have a myriad of sizes of the PCB itself, positions and number of through holes, and types of hole sizes, making general-purpose transportation extremely difficult. In addition, flat-layered workpieces often have to be picked up in duplicate over through holes, making it easy for transport errors to occur. Each time a substrate is switched, there is a stoppage for hand replacement and adjustment, and it is not unusual for the number of stoppages to be 10 or more per day. To solve this problem in the substrate industry, Schmalz has developed a vacuum gripper that can transport a large number of substrates in a versatile manner and can also handle double-sheet transfer.
The "Vacuum Gripper FM/FQE for PCB Manufacturing Process" has flexible, small-diameter pads on the suction surface, and each pad is equipped with a valve that prevents air leakage and suppresses two-piece removal. Four different materials are available for the pads used on the suction surface, including nitrile rubber and silicone rubber for superior flexibility, markless rubber to control wetting and static diffusion rubber to prevent static electricity.
